NASA Horse Collar

In a strategic operation where high performance is crucial, SWOS exceeds expectations. 

SWOS was proud to accept the task of designing and constructing a custom horse collar for NASA, which will be used to secure and recover the Orion space capsule upon entry.  The extensive design process included strategic break testing, as well as multiple revisions of the collar to ensure efficient rigging capabilities. Constructed with 3/4 inch Amsteel®-Blue and reinforced with custom chafe gear, our net provides 45 feet of security, strength and safety to ensure a successful evolution. We would like to extend our gratitude to NASA for allowing us to be a part of this exciting event.
